On August 28, 2019, the City of Marion, Iowa hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new inclusive playground at Lowe Park. Adjacent to the playground is this new ICON pavilion. The city website lists this project as one of the top priorities outlined in their Park Master Plan approved by the Marion City Council and Marion Park Board in 2016.
Design was by MSA Professional Services, with offices in Appleton, WI, Baraboo, WI and Beaver Dam, WI. Construction management was by Tricon Construction Group with offices in Dubuque, IA and Cedar Rapids, IA.
